Steve Ponzo is a self-diagnosed semi-hermit and an almost insomniac, which is great news if you’re an art director and bad news if you’re Steve’s social life.
Spending most of his time observing people and society rather than interacting with either, Steve has developed a unique eye for reality and emotion. Filling his pages are images of sincerity and clarity, meant to engage both the heart and mind.
Steve is a graduate of The Hartford Art School. A great deal of people are probably walking around the earth thinking that he graduated from Harvard but this is, in fact, a simple misunderstand. He apparently mumbles a lot. Regardless of where people think they heard Steve say he went, he earned a BFA for illustration and developed a pretty intense caffeine addiction during that time.
Born and raised on Long Island, Steve spent most of his childhood playing with G.I. Joes, reading comic books and drawing silly pictures…he still resides there today and hasn’t stopped doing any of those things since.
